MEETING IN LIMA of the SI Committee for Latin America and the Caribbean

RESOLUTION ON THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

The Socialist International Committee for Latin America and the Caribbean, meeting in Lima on 6-7 May 2005, expresses its faith in and solidarity with the process of renewal and reorganisation which the Dominican Revolutionary Party, PRD, is currently undergoing, the next step of which is the National Convention due to take place on 5 July this year.

The member parties of the International express their best wishes for success and victory to the PRD, a party which today, even though in opposition, counts on a great majority of representation at the level of local government and in the parliamentary bodies of that country.
